It is the oldest continuously inhabited European settlement in the Americas. New World's first university, cathedral, castle, monastery, and fortress are located here.

UNESCO declared the city's Colonial Zone a World Heritage Site. Santo Domingo is the cultural, financial, political, commercial and industrial center of the Dominican Republic, where the majority of the country's most important industries are centered.

We will stay there for three nights in the luxurious “Hotel Europa.” located in the Zona Colonial district.

It's also the country's main port. At the mouth of the Ozama River, the city's harbor accommodates the largest vessels, and the port handles both heavy freight and passenger traffic.
